It was a nice day for a drive

The sun broke through the clouds every now and then but the wind did not let up until late Saturday evening. Needless to say we did not get out to do the water sampling. Apparently churned up water does not make for good samples. We shall try again June 20th.

I did get out for a couple hours Saturday evening. Caught a few small walleye and northern's but nothing to write home about. It was just nice to get back out on the lake, relax, wet the line and enjoy life.

Hi there, we are back fishing again and enjoying it. On Saturday, I caught a whitefish, I never caught one of those before. It fought just like a Northern Pike. 2 weeks ago we caught a huge Burbot! Now those fish are creepy looking. Looks like it will be a great fishing season.

Hello and welcome back. I really wish more people would add comments! Especially ones about how their fishing was at Fawcett Lake. Not too many Whites come out of the lake in the summer. They are more prevalent when ice fishing. Burbot may be creepy looking but the are very tasty. Did you know that some people call them Fawcett Lake lobster? Have you ever tried them? Again, Burbot are caught more often while ice fishing. Strange that you would catch both on the same trip in June. Good on you!
