Gone Fishing

Blogging will continue after this all too short of a fishing trip. Have a great weekend and take a kid fishing!

It was a nice day for a drive

The sun broke through the clouds every now and then but the wind did not let up until late Saturday evening. Needless to say we did not get out to do the water sampling. Apparently churned up water does not make for good samples. We shall try again June 20th.

I did get out for a couple hours Saturday evening. Caught a few small walleye and northern's but nothing to write home about. It was just nice to get back out on the lake, relax, wet the line and enjoy life.

May Long

It was a cold rainy weekend. We managed to get our small community dock in the water along with a few of the boat hoists. Never did get out in the boat to do any fishing myself. Just too much work that needed to get done so that I may enjoy the rest of the all too short warm season in Alberta.

My Daughter (Yolanda) managed to catch quite a few Northerns and a few Walleye off the main dock at Broken Paddle.

My Daughter (Yolanda) taking my Grandson (Mike 20 months old) fishing for the very first time.

Looking down at Fawcett Lake The view from up top of hill on Monday

Not a ripple to be seen. Of course the weather was nice on Monday. We had to pack up and head home. Never fails!

Gone Fishing Part ... never mind...

It is Friday and that can mean only one thing.

Best of luck to all of you out on the water, no matter what lake you are fishing on.

Drive safe!

Will post all the details of how the weekend went upon my return ... sometime Tuesday perhaps.
